Paint Shop Pro 8 vs. Adobe PhotoShop CS2
I bought PSP (Paint Shop Pro 8) when it first came out & I first started doing web design. when I graduated college in 2002 my boyfriend (Jordan) bought my the Adobe CS2 Studio (Photoshop (PS), Acrobat, Illustrator, plus whatever else is in the group) for my graduation present. *Trust me that one blew me away!* Well, I have never had a computer that could handle the two programs one at the same time. So before I have always used PSP for all my graphic uses. Well, I used PS for about a week before I found my PSP program. I have come to the decision that though I love the brushes that come & can be downloaded for PS I will continue to use my PSP for my graphic needs. I understand PSP so much more. PS is just too complicated, I use the background eraser a lot & in PS it just doesn’t work right. Were is in PSP it works beautifully. To me is seems that is I had a tablet & pen then PS would work beautifully, but since I make my graphics with a mouse I will keep my PSP.

I have, and always been using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 … till now. ;) Haven’t upgraded since. Let’s just say that I’m within my comfort zone. The later versions have interfaces that are completely different and so they sort of dampen my designing mood.
Paintshop Pro rocks when you need to do some editing without the works.

I’m with Brenda there. I’ve been using Adobe Photoshop version 7 for years and it works fine for me, hehe!

I’m soooo jealous of you having a real copy of Photoshop! XD I have CS2 but um…yeah.
I might try to downgrade to see if I can still work around in a version I can purchase without spending a ton.

I agree with you on the PSP > PS debate.. but, that is because I am like you and I have had it longer. :D

I believe you’re either a Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop person. I am a Photoshop person through and through. I absolutely love the program.
